The CBG Flex Office was built from the ground up to merge the best aspects of virtual and in-person work, seamlessly balancing employee productivity with inclusive human connection.
According to a LinkedIn post from Mike Roman, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at 3M, “The team designed it based on what they imagined the future office should look like – having advanced technologies available to make it easier to connect with customers and colleagues around the world.”
Some of the more interesting details of the space include QR codes for real-time employee feedback and colored Post-it® Note window art (see the cactus image above) for bold 3Mers to express their joyful creativity.
In early March of 2022, Brand Ink collaborated with the 3M Design Organization team to provide the following commercial wall wrap services:
Leveraging the highest-quality 3M materials, our team coordinated and installed thousands of square feet of commercial-grade window and wall film—all with minimal business interruption.
The wall murals—which represent the global community and culture of 3M—were all produced with a smooth matte finish to fit in with the overall aesthetic of the space. In addition, the optically clear window film was printed with GREENGUARD GOLD-certified inks to adhere to 3M’s continued commitment to low chemical emissions.
The biggest challenge we faced was getting the white inks to look just right. We achieved this by running extensive tests and working directly with the 3M Design team to get the look to be exactly as they envisioned it.
